Privacy Policy
Milestone Fleet, a subsidiary of GB Capital Group Inc. ("we," "us," "Milestone"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you apply for or use our lease-to-own vehicle program, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website milestonefleet.ca and any communications connected to our program.
1. Information we collect
When you submit an application or otherwise interact with us, we collect:
- Contact and identity information — first and last name, mobile number, email address, city, postal code.
- Driver eligibility information — driver's licence (number and image), proof of address (utility bill, lease, or bank statement).
- Program preferences — what you plan to use the vehicle for (delivery, personal, mixed use), your preferred language for follow-up.
- Banking information — only after approval, for the purpose of setting up weekly Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) payments.
- Communications — records of phone calls, texts, WhatsApp conversations, and emails between you and us related to your application or rental.
- Technical information — basic anonymous information about how you use our website (device type, approximate location, pages visited), only if and when we add analytics.
2. Why we collect it
We use your personal information for the following purposes, and no others, unless you tell us otherwise:
- To review your application and decide whether you qualify for the program.
- To contact you about your application (approval, requests for missing documents, decline notifications).
- To set up your rental, collect weekly payments, track your equity balance, and communicate with you about the program.
- To meet our legal obligations under Canadian and Ontario law (record-keeping, insurance, tax).
- To improve our service — for example, learning from common applicant questions to clarify our forms.
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with parties who need it to deliver the program to you, and only to the extent necessary:
- Our insurance provider — to underwrite coverage on your vehicle.
- Our payment processor — to set up and run your weekly PAD payments.
- Government agencies or law enforcement — only when required by law (for example, tax filings or a valid legal request).
- Service providers under contract — for example, the email or messaging tools we use to send you application updates. Each such provider is bound to use your information only to perform the service we asked of them.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are an active applicant or renter in the program, and for a reasonable period afterwards as required by law and to handle any disputes, audits, or tax records (typically seven years for financial records under Canadian tax law). After that period, we securely delete or anonymize it.
5. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Ontario law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Withdraw your consent for us to contact you, at any time, subject to legal or contractual obligations (for example, we still have to send you statements about an active rental).
- Ask us to delete your information when there is no longer a legal or contractual reason for us to keep it.
- Make a complaint about how we handle your information.

6. Security
We protect your information using reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard practices: encrypted transmission, limited internal access, and secure deletion when records are no longer needed.
7. Cookies and tracking
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Site functionality — for example, remembering your language preference and your cookie consent choice. These are stored locally on your device and are not shared with anyone.
- The Meta Pixel — a tracking pixel from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) that lets us understand which ads bring drivers to our site. The Pixel records anonymous events (page view, "Lead" event when an application is submitted) and helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The Pixel only loads if you accept cookies via our consent banner. If you decline, no Pixel is loaded and no advertising data is sent to Meta from this site.
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site, or by contacting us directly to request that we mark your visits as opted-out.
Your application data (name, contact details, etc.) is never shared with Meta or used for ad targeting. The Pixel sees only that an anonymous visitor submitted an application, not who they were.
8. Children's privacy
Our program is for adults eligible to hold a valid Ontario or international driver's licence. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on this page and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of our service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
